Slopes and lifts

Piste Palander challenges any skier. Majority of the competitions held in Pyhä are held in the Palander slope. By its variability and steepness the slope maintains skier’s interest and speed. It’s often said that the FIS classified Piste Palander slope is the best slope in Finland.

The Polar slope was considered as one of the challenging slopes in Finland before the building of the new Piste Palander slope. And even today the Polar slope offers a great ride all the way from the top to the bottom, if only you can take it. The slope is highly used by professionals for training, but it also provides great conditions for amateurs to train and improve their skills.

The Carlsberg-house is located in the slope and thus it provides easy access for a small bite or drink. So should you get hungry or thirsty during your ride, just visit the Carlsberg-house.

The PyhäExpress 6-seater takes you to the top in 4 minutes where you can access all the other slopes in Pyhä. The 3-seater takes you half way to the Polar slope and, if you want you can take the Huippuhissi to go all the way to the top.

By the lower lift station there is also a kids’ lift and an easy slope for kids and beginners. The Polar platter takes you to the Family slopes.

Polar Madness is conveniently located near the new PyhäExpress fast 6-seater chair lift. Pyhä Fun Park for freeskiers and snowboarders is located on the Family Slopes.

Huttu-Ukko is definitely the most challenging of the Pyhä slopes and among the steepest slopes in Finland! World cup moguls competitions have also been held on Huttu-Ukko. A top speed of 140km/h has been reached in speed races!

From the hotel you can reach Huttu-Ukko easily with the Polar t-bar lift by taking a left at the top. From the top of the family lift you can ski down to the lower lift station of Polar t-bar again.

The blue slope is just as long, but not as steep as the Polar slope beside it. This is a great practising slope for beginners and intermediates. For better skiers this slope is excellent for carving.

You can reach the blue slopes with the PyhäExpress. If it's windy you can just enjoy the bottom part of the slopes as it's nicely sheltered from the wind or you can take the top t-bar all the way to the top.

Family slopes are excellent for beginners as the slopes are wide and not too steep.

Junior SnowPark is located by the family slopes and there you can find small moguls, rails and a few smaller boxes. Here the little reestylers can enjoy jumps and rails safely.

From the top of the family slopes there is a connection route to the hotel and via new skiway to bottom station of PyhäExpress.

Kids' slope is located by the lower lift station of the Polar slope. Here the youngest skiers as well as beginners can safely and easily practise.

Beginners' slope is located right by the hotel. The magic carpet lift is easy to use and the area is perfect for anyone getting started with skiing or snowboarding.

Remember to always wear a helmet on the slopes!

On the Northern slopes you can choose from two long and steady red slopes. Even in the spring sun these slopes are in perfect condition as the sun on the north side doesn't make the slopes too soft, but still pampers the skiers with its warm rays of light on the terrace of PyhäWurst. There are trees on the sides of the slopes nearly all the way to the top, which gives a good shelter from the wind even in mid winter.
