Pieps avalanche transceiver practice, Feb 21 at 1pm

The avalanche transceiver or beacon – along with snow probe and shovel – is an important piece of snow safety gear. Having the proper equipment is essential for safe, responsible freeriding in the backcountry and you can never practice using the beacon too much.

In this beacon training, you get to practice the use of the beacon under the guidance of Pyhä Ski School. If you have your own beacon, bring it with you. The program is free of charge and intended for anyone interested in backcountry freeriding. You do not need your skis or snowboard during the program.
