Pyhä Freeride by Antti Autti week 10

Pyhä’s partner rider Antti Autti has spent years around the Pyhä ski resort and knows the best spots to find the best possible conditions every day. Now, those 16 years and older have the chance to explore freeriding with Antti on Tuesday, March 4, from 10 AM to 1 PM.

The price for the trip is €69 per person. You can participate with either a snowboard or skis.

If you’ve never tried freeriding before, this is a great way to get introduced to the sport safely! During the day, we’ll cover the basics of the sport, from riding technique to terrain reading. Additionally, if you’re already an experienced rider but unfamiliar with the ski resort, this is a great opportunity to explore the best riding spots with Antti.

PYHÄ FREERIDE BY ANTTI AUTTI

Shared Riding Moments

Freeriding is a social activity! If you’re alone and looking for a riding buddy, Pyhä Freeride is the perfect opportunity, as what could be cooler than finding new friends on the trip and then going together to explore new riding spots?

GENERAL TRIP INFO

Antti Autti rides on a snowboard, and a possible second instructor will join the day on skis.

Participants must be able to ride at least red slopes and easy, treed terrain outside the slopes. Everyone needs to bring a backpack, and skiers must have poles with them.

We recommend insurance that covers riding outside the slopes. During the day, we will go over safety related to freeriding and how to approach riding both on and off the slopes.

The group will discuss with Antti the different types of terrain, how to manage speed in various riding environments, and how to anticipate and adapt to even the most unexpected conditions. Participants will definitely improve their skills in reading the terrain and snow during these sessions.

Participants will also be introduced to avalanche safety equipment, which is available for free rental on-site at the start of the trip. In addition to safe riding, riders will receive tips on riding technique. Expect a varied day with new friends and guidance from a professional rider.

PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE:

  • The ability to ride at least red slopes and easy, treed terrain outside the slopes.
  • Equipment: snowboard/skis, helmet, and goggles. Skiers must have poles, as they help with movement in the terrain.
