The first downhill biking trail at Pyhä opens in July 2024

News Published on June 11, 2024

Pyhä Ski Resort enters a new era at the beginning of July 2024 with the opening of the mountain's new downhill biking trail. The trail is named Pyhä Flow. It is a scenic and easy flow trail, consisting of three parts. The upper part has a green difficulty level, while the middle and lower parts are blue. The upper and lower sections will open at the beginning of July, and the construction of the middle section is well underway.

The downhill trail can be accessed via the PyhäExpress lift, which easily accommodates bikes. Single-ride tickets can be purchased from the machine at the lower station of the lift and from the Pyhä Kultakero rental shop.

More information about the trail will be released closer to the opening day. Day passes can also be purchased online.

Last summer, in 2023, a training trail for downhill riding called MiniFlow was opened in Pyhä, located near the lower station of the PyhäExpress chairlift. The MiniFlow trail can be ridden using the carpet lift, which operates according to the PyhäExpress lift's schedule.

The trail has been constructed as part of the "Downhill Trails to the Mountain" project, managed by the municipality of Pelkosenniemi and co-funded by the Mainland Finland Rural Development Programme 2014–2020.
